NIH ECHO Program Announces Funding Opportunity: Research Supplements to Promote Diversity in Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) Program Research

The ECHO Program is committed to supporting a diverse biomedical research workforce, including individuals from groups identified in NOT-OD-20-031 - Notice of NIH’s Interest in Diversity as underrepresented in the biomedical, clinical, behavioral and social sciences.

In support of this goal, the ECHO Program Office is pleased to offer research supplements to promote diversity to ECHO Cohort grantees for 1) Graduate (Predoctoral) and Health Professional Students and 2) Individuals in Postdoctoral Training, including Clinical Fellows Training in Medical Fields. The Program Office has released NOT-OD-25-042, “Notice of Special Interest (NOSI): Research Supplements to Promote Diversity in Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) Program Research (Admin Supp - Clinical Trial Not Allowed).”

The following ECHO Components can apply on behalf of a candidate: Cohort Study Site Awards, Cores (Laboratory Core, Measurement Core), and Centers (Coordinating Center, Data Analysis Center).

Applications are due by February 28, 2025. The start date of the Research Supplement will be June 2025, and awards will provide up to two years of support.
